GarageBand: Restoring your songs onto your iOS device from your computer (.band project files)
At the time of writing, iTunes does not allow you to save a folder into an App with the iTunes File Sharing utility, so you can’t restore a backup of your projects (or somebody else’s if you’re trying to collaborate) into your iDevice.

- Plug your iPhone/iPod/iPad in and run iExplorer.
- Locate this folder in iExplorer of your iPod, “stu iPhone 4S/Apps/com.apple.mobilegarageband/Documents”
- Drag the “.band” folder into iExplorer from Windows Explorer onto iExplorer to put the files

Use the down-arrow to display the list of shared projects. The dir you dropped there will appear in the list, press it and the project appears in your available projects list.
